In this paper, we test whether or not a recently introduced Dutch legislation providing employees with the right to adjust working hours within their job has reduced the correlation between changes in working hours and job mobility. We do this by implementing a difference-in-differences methodology to the job and hours mobility behaviour of Dutch workers prior and after the introduction of the new law. We find no evidence suggesting that this is indeed the case, regardless of gender.
